Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. Your first appointment will be an initial consultation to get to know each other and determine whether this is a good fit for everyone.
Are There Any Risks Involved with Couple’s Therapy?
Often, a better question is, “Can we get our relationship back to where it was when it was good?”
The answer is, it depends on how much pain has been created in the relationship. Sometimes, the goal is not to recreate the old relationship but to create a new and different one that’s stronger than before, built on honesty and a shared commitment to address past pain.
My goal is to equip couples with the tools they need to face the future together, rather than remaining stuck in the patterns of the past.
What if one of us isn’t sure about counseling?
It’s common for one partner to be more hesitant than the other. In these cases, we take the time to ensure both individuals feel heard and understood. Therapy moves at a pace that respects everyone’s comfort level.
How long does couples therapy usually take?
Each relationship is unique. Some couples find clarity in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months. Together, we’ll set goals that make sense for your situation.
Do you offer both in-person and online sessions?
Yes. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions, providing flexibility to meet your scheduling and comfort needs.
What kinds of therapy methods do you use?
In couples counseling, I use The Developmental Model of Couple’s Therapy, which integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches, and communication skill-building to help partners strengthen their connection and deepen understanding.
In individual therapy, I tailor a custom plan for each client. My areas of expertise include CBT, EMDR, improving quality-of-life aspirations, addressing past and present traumatic experiences, and supporting clients through depression and anxiety to foster long-term emotional balance.
Are there any risks involved with couples therapy?
Couples therapy can bring difficult emotions to the surface, especially when trust has been damaged. However, this process often creates opportunities for deeper honesty and healing. The goal is to strengthen your connection—not just to repair the past, but to build a stronger, more resilient future together.
Do you accept insurance?
No, but you may file a reimbursement with your insurance company using a provided super bill. I do not file your claim for you or guarantee coverage by your insurance.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, personal checks, and most credit cards.
Note: Credit card transactions may be subject to processing fees.
